With the cold weather fast approaching, many of us have purchased new hoodies from our favourite designers to keep us warm, yet stylish. The old ones we have get buried deep into the depths of our closets, forgotten. The Lounge at 155 John St. is urging people to dig out those gently worn hoodies and sweaters and to bring them down to the shop for their first annual Hoody Drive.
The Lounge will be donating the garments collected to the Scott Mission, located on Spadina Avenue. For those unfamiliar with the Scott Mission, and its contribution to the local community and to the city as a whole, I urge you to please visit their website to learn more.
The Lounge is looking for gently worn sweaters and hoodies in particular, but will be glad to take any other garments you have to offer (socks, jackets, toques, thermal pants, gloves, etc). It doesn't matter the style of cut, as they will accept men's, woman's, and children's clothing. Even if you may not have anything to give, ask around to your family. They may have something they no longer want and would be happy to donate.
With the global economic crisis just getting under way, many more people this year will find it difficult to heat their homes, and provide food for their families much less shop for new clothes to combat the lower temperatures and adverse weather conditions. Not to mention the growing number of homeless of all ages on Toronto's streets.
It's a great opportunity for a small niche of Toronto's larger urban culture to come together and help those less fortunate. So just take a few minutes to search your closets or pile of clothing in the corner of your room and head down to Lounge on November 21st or 22nd during store hours of 11 A.M. to 7 P.M. and drop your donations off. The Lounge fam. and more importantly, the Scott Mission are truly grateful.

FORT Apparel F/W '08
Local up and coming brand FORT Apparel has released their F/W '08 line. In it is the introduction of the "Shadow" crewneck as well as a return of FORT's well received "Four One Six" design in a multitude of new colourways.
Other additions to their F/W line include an improved garment tag as well as tweaked sizing for the ladies. An all around solid release, so keep an eye out for FORT as they continue to grow.
For those interested, FORT is now taking pre-orders for the F/W line. To make things interesting they promise that those who do pre-order will see their gear in their hands before it even lands on store shelves. You can pre-order your gear through FORT's online shop. For those willing to wait, FORT Apparel stockist The Lounge (John 155) will have it available on November 28.

Second Shipment of Supreme & Sale @ Nomad
This Saturday, Nomad will be releasing their second shipment of Supreme goodies which you can expect to be as large as the first. Box caps are said to make a return, as well as the rest of the fitteds in the line. Cold weather gear in the form of sweaters, hoodies, and jackets are also set to make an appearance. Judging from the line-up at the last drop, you better get your camping gear out, this might be your final chance to grab some Supreme in Toronto.

Livestock x Hundreds x éS "Boarder Control"
The three-way collabo of Toronto's own Livestock, L.A. based The Hundreds and technical footwear brand éS are bringing us a duo of hot sneakers. To be released this Saturday, the 18th at all Livestock locations, this sneaker pack is named "Boarder Control", from the idea that "our countries [are] locking shit down and making it really hard for people from different places to work together".
Despite the difficulties the trio may have faced, they have pulled of a very nice package with the Livestock Theory silhouette, and the Hundreds Sqaure One model. This aesthetically pleasing pack can also be had for a wallet pleasing price of $155.
The Hundreds has also produced a tee to compliment the pack, which can also be purchased at Livestock.
